ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Dougherty County commissioners are now helping bring internet service to Southwest Georgia.

Monday, commissioners approved a resolution supporting the 21/21 Broadband project.

The 60 million dollar project would bring Broadband Service to 21 South Georgia counties.

The project would be paid for with stimulus money.

Right now just 30-percent of Dougherty Countians have access to Broadband High Speed Internet Service.
