MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - A Colquitt County man is now charged with armed robbery and attempting to flee from police after Sheriff's deputies chased him more than 12 miles from Doerun to Moultrie Friday night.

20-year-old Travis Lowery, Junior is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.  He's accused of holding up the Go-Go Mart on South Mill Street and then leading troopers and deputies on a chase at speeds that topped 100 miles per hour.

He ditched the car on 13th Avenue Southwest in Moultrie and was arrested after a quick foot chase.  Deputies recovered cash and a handgun.
