ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Gas prices are slowly creeping toward three dollars a gallon.

The national average for a gallon of regular has gone up five cents. In Georgia that price went up seven cents from last week.

The average price for regular gas in Georgia is $2.51 a gallon. In Albany, the price is around $2.53.

Despite the increase, gas prices are still a lot lower from where they were one year ago at $4.07.
