VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - Dashboard camera video from a Valdosta Police cruiser helped clear the driver who struck and killed a woman Thursday night.

The woman was crossing North Ashley Street not far from East Moore shortly after 11:00 PM when she was hit. But the driver who hit her will not face charges.

Police say the woman stepped out so quickly that there was no way the driver could have prevented it.

Police are still waiting to positively identify the victim.
