ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An inmate was injured after a fire broke out in the Clinch County Jail.

We are told that clothes in one of the holding cells caught fire after 50-year old Michael White used wires to spark those flames.

He took of his shirt to try to extinguish the flames, but it didn't work. White then tried to use his mattress which only made the fire worse.

White received some burns in the fire. No one else was injured.
