ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A crash on North Slappey Boulevard knocked a utility pole down across the busy street in midtown Albany Wednesday afternoon.

A truck crashed into the pole in the 100 block of North Slappey around two o'clock. The downed power pole blocked all five lanes of traffic between Broad Avenue and Gillionville Road.

Water, Gas, and Light crews quickly rerouted power for customers in the area. They braced the wires for now and will return tomorrow to install a new utility pole. Luckily, no one was hurt.
