ALBANY, GA (WALB) - For the second time since Sunday night a person was gunned down in a south Albany.

Around 2:18 Tuesday morning police say a juvenile was shot in the leg while walking in the 1100 block of South Madison Street.

Officers were called out to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where they interviewed the victim

Police say they don't have a description of the shooter but did say the shots were fire from a gun inside an older model red Ford F-150 pickup.

While there is no motive in this case, the shooting comes just one day after a woman was shot on her front porch along Gillespie Avenue. APD's gang task force is looking into whether that shooting may have been part of a gang initiation.

No word on the victim's name or condition.
