TALLAHASSEE, FL (WALB) - The Major League Baseball draft starts Tuesday and Florida State football and baseball star D'Vontrey Richardson could be an early round selection.

Richardson worked out for one big league club  Monday afternoon in Tallahassee,

His speed and bat have attracted the interest of several teams.

After missing the 2008 season to work on his studies, Richardson did bat over .300 while seeing limited action for the FSU baseball team this year.

Richardson has been eyeing a move from quarterback to safety this fall for the Seminole football team.

The former Lee County Trojan says he will have a tough decision to make if he is taken in the baseball draft.

D'Vontrey Richardson said. "It is going to be a real tough decision. Real tough. I believe whichever one I pick I am going to work hard at it and just go 100% everyday."

Richardson did hit .350 his freshman season in 2007 when he started 35 games.
