    A Cordele man is out of jail tonight, accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from his former employer.

Three Georgia National Guard troops have been killed in Afghanistan.

The soldiers, part of Georgia's 48th brigade, were killed Thursday by gunfire and an explosive device.

They are identified as 37-year-old Major Kevin M. Jenrette, of Lula, Ga.; 39-year-old Staff Sgt. John C. Beale, of Riverdale; and 21-year-old Specialist Jeffrey W. Jordan, of Rome, Ga.

They were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 108th Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition Squadron.
