(Florence, Alabama-AP) -- Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker Jessie Tuggle was among three men inducted into the Division Two Football Hall of Fame tonight.
Inducted at a banquet in Florence, Alabama, on the eve of the Division II national championship game were Tuggle, who played at Valdosta State, former Delaware quarterback Scott Brunner and ex-Kutztown receiver Andre Reed.
Tuggle will watch his alma mater play Grand Valley State for the D-II national championship Saturday afternoon.
Tuggle was a four-year-letterman at Valdosta State from 1983-86 and left as the Blazers' all-time leading tackler with 340.
After signing as a free agent, Tuggle started at middle linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons from 1989-2000.
He had 12 seasons with more than 100 tackles and played in the Pro Bowl five times. He holds the N-F-L career record for touchdowns scored off fumble recoveries -- five.
