ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Families were reeled into the Marine Corp Logistics Base Saturday morning all hoping to catch the big one.

Young and old alike casted their lines during the 21st annual Buddy Fishing Tournament. And many hooked their fill of catfish and brim.

Many of the anxious young fisherman waited patiently for the weighing to see if they won top honors.

"I my grandpa baited the hook, and I just pulled them in," said Amber Senn.

What is your secret for catching big fish? Chicken and liver," said Cody Thompson.

The bases gates are open to the public every year for this event. The NCO wives organize the tournament every year to raise scholarship money for military children.
