VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The tourism industry has taken a hard hit from the recession.  To keep their park full, the team at Wild Adventures is continually offering new ways to enjoy some summertime fun.

"This summer, we expect it to be huge," says Public Relations Coordinator Micha Hogan.  "We're already seeing a lot of people coming and they're really enjoying themselves."

Friday, the park began their Kidpalooza celebration, which will run through August 2nd. Festivities kicked-off with a birthday celebration for the one-year-old tiger cubs, Raja and Liska.

The park now offers more animal interactions.  Parents love that the experiences are both fun and educational.

"I didn't know tigers get that big when they're one year old! Also, I didn't know orange tigers can be a mother of white tigers," says eight-year-old Michael Bennett.

There are also new entertainment options, such as the adorable and hilarious Hollywood Stunt Dogs Show.  All of the dogs used in the performances are rescue dogs.

"We have animals in the park, and they're a big part of Wild Adventures," says Hogan.  "We like to include guests in all of the animal interactions."

This summer, the park is also offering guests a new magic show starring world-famous magician, Aaron Radatz.  His shows involve the entire audience.

Wild Adventures is confident that their constantly growing opportunities for visitors will keep them coming back all summer long.
