ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It will be youth versus experience for the championship of the Womens Southern Golf Association Amateur golf tournament at Stonebridge Country Club.
15-year old Alexis Thompson defeated Sara Beth Davis 2&1 to advance to her first final.
The teenage sensation will face a veteran player in the 36 hole final.
Virginia Derby Grimes defeated University of Alabama golfer Brooke Pancake 4&3 to advance to her fifth final in this tournament.
Grimes has won this tournament twice.
Waycross' Alei Mitchell has made the final of the 2nd flight.
Mitchell will play Ann Schultz of Rockwall, Texas starting at 8:26 a.m. on Friday.
