VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A Valdosta man is behind bars for shooting another man during an argument.

Just before midnight on Monday evening, 26 year old Prince Williams shot 38 year old Terry Williams in the torso.  It happened on the 700 block of York Street.

Prince Williams was taken into custody shortly after.

He is now in the Lowndes County Jail, facing charges of aggravated assault.

Terry Williams survived the shooting, and underwent surgery today at South Georgia Medical Center.  The two men are not related.
