ALBANY, GA (WALB) - People in their Golden years, showed off their works of Art in Albany today.

For the 16th year, the SOWEGA Council on Aging held The Shades of Gold Art Show Thursday at the Albany Museum of Art.

Council members attend classes once a week to hone their skills. Every year, they get to show off a little, too. Avis Patterson said, "We just come together and a lot of us don't ever really know that much about painting, but we've learned a lot together."

In addition to the current show at the Albany Museum of Art, Shades of Gold has been asked to exhibit their works of art in August in Valdosta.
