ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Kids who complain there's nothing to do in the Summer will have no excuses Friday night.

The Albany Recreation and Parks Department will kick off their second year of the Totally Teen Zone. Teenagers can enjoy pizza, games and music from a DJ every Friday in June and July.

Organizers say it's a positive way for kids to spend their time.

"We all know that teens are usually the ones to sit around and say there's nothing for me to do. This is a semi-structured environment. It is drug-free and free for the kids to come in. It's a safe environment and it's a fun environment," said Albany Recreation and Parks Department Director Suzanne Davis.

Totally Teen Zone is for 13 to 17-year olds. This month it will be held at Thornton Gym from 7 to 10. It's limited to the first 200 people.
