ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Kelly Pearce had a great run at the WSGA Amateur Championship at Stonebridge Country Club.

Mississippi State golfer Gina Sharp won 6-5 over Pearce to advance to the quarterfinals.

Meghan Gockel went 22 holes to defeat Carolyn Creekmore.

Arkansas golfers Kristin Ingram and Corrina Rees also advance to the quarterfinals with Alexis Thompson, Brooke Pancake, Sara Beth Davis and Virginia Derby Grimes.

The quarterfinal winners will play the semifinals Thursday afternoon and the championship match is Friday.
