ATKINSON COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Authorities have identified the teen who drowned Monday night.

18-year-old Allen Hancock died in his family's pond in Axson, located in the eastern part of Atkinson County, around 8:15 PM.

Coroner David White says that pond is 9 to 10 feet deep.  Witnesses say Hancock had been under water or more than 15 minutes when officials arrived.

 Authorities do not believe there was any sort of foul play and call the drowning atragic accident.
