Albany - Albany's Ritz Cultural Center is named the grant recipient for the 2003 King Day Celebration. With the honor, comes thousands of dollars in funding for programs at the Cultural Center. Members of the King Day Celebration Committee choose the Ritz Center because of its years of work with children in our community. The center will receive a portion of the profits from the 2003 King Day Celebration. The annual celebration, honoring Martin Luther King Junior, starts at 5:30 on January 20th at the Albany Civic Center.
