ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Another downtown business in Albany will be closing their doors. There will now be another empty store front along Broad Avenue after San Joes Restaurant shuts down.

The owner told us they decided to close for good Thursday after repairs to the building they were renting were never properly addressed.

They are still looking for another location and don't know when they will re-open. This closure will affect 15 employees.

"San Joe's Ramirez is one of the most popular persons downtown. He is always at the international festival, Mardi Gras. He does First Friday. We just lost Harvest Moon," said Shonda Escalante.

Both Harvest Moon and popular clothing store Envy relocated to Northwest Albany. This comes as city leaders continue to try and lure more businesses downtown with millions of dollars in bond money.
