ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A shot was fired during the Thursday night robbery of an East Albany Convenience store.  Store owners say it's the third robbery there in a year and they're scared.

Two gunmen dressed all in black stormed into the Guatemex Convenience Store on Radium Springs Road about 6:35PM and demanded money.

One of the robbers fired a warning shot into the ceiling.

"He asked us for the money, and we didn't do it fast enough, so he fired a bullet into the ceiling," said  Store employee Enrique Lucas.

The other robber grabbed the cash register and ran out with the machine and about $500 . The robbers fled in a white GMC Jimmy SUV that was reported stolen earlier in the day from West Residence.

The car was recovered shortly after the robbery, but the robbers are still at large.
