ALBANY, GA (WALB) - They're older than your average crooks, but Albany police say two men snatched money from an East Albany liquor store and took off running.

They didn't make it far. Police say 70-year-old David Palmer of Atlanta and 58-year-old David Whitehead of Macon snatched a handful of cash out of the National Package Store cash register yesterday about 5:30.

Two good citizens saw them running. Pamela Barkley and former Albany Police Officer John Williams chased the two robbers down and held them until Police arrived.

Both are charged with robbery by snatching.
