Albany -- Using Southwest Georgia's quail hunting and Southern hospitality to attract new business and economic development is the goal of the Fall Feather Hunt.

The 14th annual Fall Feather Hunt is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 14 industry and corporate leaders will be guests at 5 Southwest Georgia plantations. While the guests enjoy world class quail hunting, Georgia and Albany leaders will be pitching them.

Jim Deal , the chair for the Fall Feather Hunt, said "It's a soft sell. We're selling them gently while they are here. At the same time we're promoting the beauty of Southwest Georgia. The quail hunting, the quality of life, the positive things we have to offer here in Albany and throughout our region."

The Fall Feather Hunt is credited with attracting 2 billion dollars in new or expanded industry to Georgia, creating over 13-thousand jobs. The event starts Wednesday night with a reception at Wynfield Plantation hosted by Lt. Governor Mark Taylor.
