Albany - A thrift store, benefiting a South Georgia substance abuse clinic, reopens just in time for holiday shopping. The Anchorage Thrift Store on South Jackson reopened Tuesday, after a month of renovations.

The stores sales everything from clothes to furniture, and the proceeds fund the Anchorage Rehabilitation Clinic for men. "The nearly 50 years old clinic is the only free, residential center in South Georgia," said Dwayne Myles, Anchorage. "This thrift storesprovides about 30% of our annual budget."

The thrift store is opened Monday through Friday from 9 until 4, and on the first Saturday of each month.
