ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A manhunt is underway for an escapee from the Albany Transitional Center who Police say is dangerous.

He and another Transitional Center inmate are charged with trying to rob a man outside a pool hall Wednesday night.

Police are still searching for 20-year old Joshua Potter. He's white, 6-feet 1-inch tall, 170 pounds, and was wearing dark clothes when last seen.

Investigators say Potter and 24-year old Trevor Barber pulled a gun on 37-year old Tracey Porter in the parking lot at Gameland Billiards on North Slappey about 10:20 PM and demanded his car keys.

Porter set off the car's panic alarm and ran inside. Barber was arrested nearby.

Potter is still on the loose. Police say they have not found the gun, but are not sure if Potter is armed.

If you have any information, call Albany Police at 431-2100.
