ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Deerfieild-Windsor and Tattnall Square got their third and final game of their GISA AAA semifinal series started Wednesday afternoon.

Less than an hour later,  a thunderstorm moved through Albany and the game was suspended in the third inning with Tattnall Square leading 1-0.

Deerfield-Windsor athletic director Gordy Gruhl says the two schools have decided to finish the game at 4:00 on Friday.

Gruhl says the decision to wait an extra day is based on the fact Thursday's weather forecast calls for more rain.

The series was supposed to start on Friday but was rained out.

Game one was started on Saturday and moved to Lee County's field.

Rain stopped play and game one was finally completed on Monday and so was game two.

Game three was originally scheduled to play on Tuesday but was rained out early in the day.

The Trojans got on the scoreboard with a leadoff double from Grant Nicholson and a single by Garrett True.

The Knights got two runners on in the bottom of the first on an error and walk but Harrison Butler's line drive was caught by Tattnall Square's Josh Glover in right.

The winner of the series will host Dominion Christian for the AAA state championship next week.

The AA semifinal series was finally completed in Chula.

Tiftarea sweeps Edmund Burke 10-0 (6) and 15-7 to advance to the AA championship series.

The Panthers will host the Heritage School with game one Monday 1:00 p.m. in Chula.
