Motorcyclist name released in high-speed chase

By Christian Jennings - bio | email

We now know the name of the motorcyclist charged with leading troopers on a high speed chase in Thomas County yesterday.

Troopers say it was 39-year-old Joseph Debellis of Tallahassee who they clocked going 132 miles per hour on Highway 319 south of Thomasville.

Troopers chased him for 6 miles until his man's tire blew out, ironically, in front of the Georgia State Patrol post.

He's charged with driving without a motorcycle license, reckless driving, speeding, and eluding.
