(Valdosta-AP) -- Buster Faulkner threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead Valdosta State into the Division II championship game with a 21-to-12 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville today.
The Blazers will play Grand Valley State of Michigan for the national title in Florence, Alabama next Saturday. Grand Valley defeated Northern Colorado 44-to-7 in the other semifinal.
Faulkner threw a 77-yard pass to Reggie Mosley to put Valdosta ahead as the first quarter ended, and the Blazers didn't trail the rest of the way. Faulkner also completed a ten-yard pass to Tyrone Jordan in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach at 21-to-6.
The Javelinas scored on two field goals by Richard Hammond from 31 and 40 yards. Jonathan Combs had a 1-yard touchdown run.
