SCOTTSBORO, AL (WALB) - The top two teams in the NJCAA DII golf rankings are ready to battle it out for the national title in Friday's final round.
#2 Darton shot a 288 Thursday and pulled to within a shot of #1 South Mountain.
South Mountain shot a 293 and is at 868.
Darton is 869 and John Logan is in third at 875.
Aaron Elrod paced Darton with a 69.
Jin Chung shot a 74 Thursday but he is -2 and in third place in the individual standings.
Darton won three straight NJCAA DII golf titles before they finished second last year.
