Valdosta - Some South Georgians have gone up on the rooftop for a good cause.

United Way campaigners climbed up to the roof Friday morning at 6 and won't get down until Saturday night, hoping to help the United Way reach it's yearly goal.

"It's very cold up here, but we're doing it for a good cause and it will all be worth it tomorrow night when they're a step closer to reaching their goal," said Scott James, Rock 108 Disc Jockey.

The United Way's goal for this year is 1.35 million dollars. So far, they've raised about 800,000.
