SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -Worth County Commissioners have fired their county administrator and county clerk.

Commissioners voted 3 to 2 not to renew the contracts of Administrator Bob Zellner and County Clerk Debbie Robinson.

Both were hired on annual contracts, and their dismissals Tuesday were immediate.

Commission Chairman Matt Medders did not return our calls, but other commissioners told us that their efficiency and ability to handle their jobs were reasons given for their ouster.

A search for their replacements is underway.
