The bad news is Albany State is now 0-6 after Thursday's 89-82 loss at Kentucky State.
The good news is that senior guard John I. Davis may be breaking out of his shooting slump. Davis hit five of ten shots from behind the three point line and finished with 19 points. Senior guard Flem Tucker led the Rams with 20 points.
Marlon Wells led the Thorobred with 20 points as Kentucky State sweeps the season series with their second win over Albany State in a week.
The Lady Rams improved to 2-0 after a 73-68 win over the Thorobredettes.
Sophomore Shernika Powell overcomes injuries to score 21 points. Pamela Butler had 19.
The Rams and Lady Rams road trip continues Saturday night at Lane College.
