SCOTTSBORO, AL (WALB) - The good news for the Darton College golf team is they have the first round lead at the NJCAA DII golf tournament.
The not so good news is that there are 11 teams with 15 shots of the lead with 54 holes of golf left to play.
That means the tournament is a long way from over.
Darton posted a two-over par 290 to lead Grand Rapids by a shot.
#1 South Mountain is two shots back in third.
Darton's Lion An and Jin Chung are fifth overall after both shot 71.
Andy Lewis had a 72 for Darton and Evan Hanna's 76 was the fourth score reported.
Aaron Elrod shot a 77.
