Bomb threats shut down plant

December 5, 2002

Camilla - A major South Georgia plant temporarily shuts down twice after an employee makes bomb threats from his cell phone.

Eighteen-year-old Cleveland Earl Roberts of Albany was arrested last night for calling in two bomb threats to Equity Group, formally known as Cagle.

Police say Roberts made a prank call yesterday morning and another last night because he was late for work. Roberts is charged with two counts of transmitting a false public alarm.

Police say Equity Group has had several bomb threats in the past four months.

Equity Group will not say how much money was lost during the shut down.
