VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The state High School baseball quarterfinals begin tomorrow and the Lowndes Vikings are making the most of their return to the state playoffs.
Lowndes will host East Paulding tomorrow in the Quint A semifinals. Lowndes head Coach Danny Redshaw says one of his biggest concerns is hard throwing East Paulding pitcher Zach Wheeler. The right hander throws in the mid 90's and Redshaw says his team will have to play its best baseball to come out with a win.
"You go up there and you try and put the baseball in play and hopefully you can pitch it and play good enough defense and give yourself a chance to win at the end" said Redshaw.
Lowndes and East Paulding start a double header tomorrow at 5:00 at Noel George Field. Game three is Wednesday at 2:00 if neccessary.
