By Christian Jennings - bio | email

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Marines from all over Georgia converged on Albany tonight.

The Department of Georgia Marine Corps League, a veteran organization for all retired marines, got together for dinner tonight at the Hilton Garden Inn.

It's just one part of the all-weekend convention which includes seminars and tours of the Albany Marine corps logistics base.

"The is an organization of active duty marines, retired marines, and marines like me, marine veterans," says Tom Newton, Marine Corps League.

Next year, the convention will take place in Athens, Georgia.
