ALBANY, GA (WALB) - If  Monroe high jumper Mimieux Land was nervous at her first GHSA girls state track meet, it did not show.

Land clears a personal best 5'7" to win the girls AAA high jump title.

Dougherty's Tiara Todd game in third.

Land clinched the title when she cleared 5'4" and wanted to see how high she could go.

She failed to clear 5'8" but hey for this freshman their is always next year and she plans to come back to defend that title.

Mimieux Land said. "The pressure doesn't bother me at all. The high jump is my baby. I was born to high jump. That is what I do."

Land hopes to add the titles like Early County's Nett Reed.

The junior won a third straight AA long jump title.

Reed hit 18'5" not once but twice to win the contest with ease.

Nett Reed said. "It means a lot to me. Coming here as a freshman and winning it was even more exciting more then. It means a lot more to win it this year."

Nett Reed will try to win state titles in the 200 and 400 meter dashes on Saturday.
