ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Some south Georgians will raise their voices in song to help raise money for a family of fifteen burned out of their home.

In April four adults and eleven children managed to escape the flames as this house on South Street in Albany burned.

Carleata Jones said her son awoke to the smell of smoke and alerted everyone just minutes before the house was consumed by fire.

This weekend, Faith By Grace will hold a Gospel Singing Benefit to help get the family back on their feet.

"This is our calling this is our ministry, we're here to help those like this family who have lost everything in a fire, or if a family member is sick and can't pay their medical bills, this is what God has called us to do so we're going to reach out," Mary Thompson, Faith By Grace.

You can also help by attending the concert.

They'll take up a love offering for the family Saturday at Seven at the Metropolitan Baptist Church on Gordon Avenue.
