TURNER CO. - A South Georgia school superintendent won't go to jail for holding a gun to a man's head. Turner County Superintendent Jimmy Alberson was set to go on trial this week on charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. Instead, he pleaded guilty to a lesser misdemeanor charge to avoid jail time. He's on probation, will pay a fine, and will keep his job as superintendent.
