ADEL, GA (WALB) - All streaks come to an end and Cook High's 21 game winning streak came to a screeching halt in the second round of the GHSA AA playoffs Wednesday.
Toombs County led by pitcher Javec King blanked the Hornets 12-0 in game one.
Cook's D.J. Johnson got the Hornets a split with a three run homerun and allowed just one run with the Hornets winning game two 11-1.
Game 3 is Thursday at 5:00 p.m. in Adel.
In Valdosta, Lowndes beats Chapel Hill 12-2 in six innings.
Chapel Hill wins game 2 4-0 and game three is at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Noel George Field.
Schley County has advanced to the Class A quarterfinals.
Wildcats beat Jenkins County 13-3 in five innings in game one and win game two 6-3.
