Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Rush hour traffic along U.S. 19 near Procter & Gamble in Dougherty County was snarled Wednesday morning after an SUV flipped over.
Witnesses tell police they saw a green Ford Explorer lose control in the southbound lane. It darted left, then right before flipping over in the median.
The driver was conscious when paramedics arrived and was transported to the hospital. Police say he did not speak English and it was unclear what caused the accident.
The left northbound lane of 19 was briefly shut down. So far, no charges have been filed.
