ALBANY, GA (WALB) - After a runner up finish in 2008 The Deerfield-Windsor baseball team is hungry to get back to the championship series this year.
The Knights are gearing up for the quarterfinals and will play host to Trinity Christian beginning on Friday.
Knights head coach Rod Murray is most concerned about the solid Trinity Christian pitching staff his team will face and says runs should be at a premium.
"Putting some hits together, manufacture some runs, maybe small ball here or there. We just can't give up any big innings. We've been talking about discipline at the plate, especially in two strike situations and putting the ball in play and trying not to leave there running" said Murray.
Game one between Deerfield Windsor and Trinity Christian is Friday at 5:30. Game two is at 1:00 on Saturday.Feedback
