
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Southland golfer Kathryn Fowler has been able to compete with the boys since her freshman season when she finished just 1 stroke shy of medalist honors at the AAA state tournament.
Monday she finished her Raider career at the AAA tournament shooting a 69 and taking co-medalist honors with Stratford's Bryan Beringer.
"Actually being medalist is so exciting and it just feels awesome it really does" said Fowler.
Southland finishing with a team total of 311. The Raiders beat out Deerfield-Windsor in a playoff to capture second place.
Stratford took the championship with a 300 ending Deerfield-Windsors hopes of defending it's 2008 state title.
