Safari Golf for Chehaw

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Friends of Chehaw take the afternoon to swing golf clubs and raise money for the Parks.

The annual Swinging Safari Golf Tournament teed off Monday afternoon at the River Pointe Golf Club. 90 golfers competed in the tournament

that will benefit the Parks at Chehaw. The money will be used for the greatest need of the animals at the zoo, either food or improvements.

Friends of Chehaw President Amber Albritton said "The Parks at Chehaw are a wonderful resource for our community. We're very appreciative of all the support we have received."

Organizers hope to raise $7000 from the Swinging Safari Golf tournament.
