ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Another Mother's Day favorite is a nice meal.

Many of the major restaurants saw steady crowds despite many Americans cutting back on spending.

Ryan's was one restaurant which saw long lines throughout the day.

According to the National Retail Federation, 55 percent of people were expected to treat mom to a special outing like dinner or brunch.

"Really this is the super bowl in the restaurant industry as we like to call it and right now we're doing well," said Tim Bowles, General Manager.

Ryan's tells us this is one of the busiest Sundays of the year.

They also had extra staff to help out with the increase in business.
