ALBANY, GA (WALB) - In a game that seemed certain to have the victor determined by the team to have the final possesion, South Georgia made the most of it's final possesion.
With 30 seconds to play Darnell Kennedy found Alvance Robinson for a touchdown to give the Wildcats a 70-66 advantage.
On the ensuing Kentucky possesion Courtney Young delivered for the Wildcats with a sack of Kentucky quarterback Jared Lorenzen in the endzone for a safety.
South Georgia hung on to win 72-66 improving to 6-2 on the season.
Alvance Robinson caught 5 touchdowns and Darnell Kennedy threw for 374 yards and a franchise record 10 touchdowns. Kennedy was quick to credit much of his success to South Georgia's recievers and offensive lineman.
"When you've got four guys that can really catch the football and can really get open and can really run fast it kind of makes my job easy. The offensive line is blocking like crazy you know giving me all the time in the world to throw the football" said Kennedy.
The Wildcats will visit Quad Cities next Saturday.Feedback
