ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Kids and community members are treated to a May Day celebration in South Albany Friday. It took place at Mt. Zion Head Start, at the Mt. Zion Apartments.

Albany Police and firefighters were there, as well as clowns and a jumping castle for the kids. It's a way to reach out to the community and say thanks for all those who help make the program a success each year.

Jennifer Washington said, "We want to show how much we appreciate everyone through out our school year to come in, volunteering services for us and just our way of saying thank you."

The field day is held annually at the Head Start center.
