Reward $ offered for stolen plants

By Karen Cohilas - bio | email

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Reward money is being collected to help find out who stole plants from a neighborhood trying to clean up its image. We showed you earlier this week that someone swiped about 20 knock-out rose bushes from the Colonial Village neighborhood in East Albany.

They were planted to improve the image of the neighborhood and hopefully reduce crime. Now, some folks on the Southside of the city are chipping in money for a reward hoping to get the plants back.

Willie Ross said, "To us, they worth a million dollars.  To me, the flowers are worth more than money." Anyone with information about the missing plants should contact Crimestoppers at 436-TIPS.
