ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Dougherty Chamber of Commerce is making a trade mission to China.

Chamber President Catherine Glover, who just returned, is planning to go back with chamber members or interested families. The nine day trip in October will allow participants to tour many of China's factories and learn more about doing business globally.

"Politics are local, but trade and business is global, we are in a truly global and competitive economy and just because we're in southwest Georgia, the most beautiful part of the state in my opinion doesn't mean we can't see broadly. We need to welcome opportunities such as global trade right here," said Catherine Glover, Albany-Dougherty Chamber of Commerce President.

Those interested in doing business with China should plan to attend a briefing about the trip at 5:30 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at the Chamber of Commerce.
