Unfortunately for the Trojans, the Terrors proved coach Williams correct.
Glynn Academy sweeps the top ranked Trojans 4-2 and 1-0 in the first round of the AAAA playoffs.
The Terrors held the Trojans to just five hits in both games.
Glynn Academy struck quickly with three runs in the first in game one.
Brandon Sharpe drove in two with a single and a third scored on an error by the Trojans.
Lee County scored runs in the first and fourth but the Terrors answered with a run in the fifth.
In game two, Glynn Academy scored in the bottom of the first on a run scoring double by Blake Strickland.
Terrors pitcher Chad Sanders made the run hold up.
Sanders took a no-hitter to the seventh before Kent Patrick got Lee County's only hit of the game with one out.
Patrick stole second.
Lee County's Tyler Knight appeared to drive him in with a single but Glynn Academy second baseman Ricky Bunkley made a terrific diving stop to throw out Knight to end the game.
It is a tough loss for the number one ranked Trojans but head coach Rob Williams says the credit goes to Glynn Academy.
Rob Williams said. "They came in here and played with a lot of emotion. You could just almost see it every inning their confidence was getting bigger and bigger. They just began to believe in themselves more. They had the better night tonight."
Lee County finishes the season 23-2.
It is the first time they have lost a first round playoff series since 2006 when they were a number two seed that year.
